Got Vape Saddles Up at the Austin Reggae Fest 2009

Austin, TX - Got Vape traveled down South to sponsor the Reggae Fest on April 18th and 19th in Austin, Texas at the Auditorium Shores Park.
This sold out event had 50,000 people while featuring live performances by Reggae Icons, The Wailers and The Wailing Souls, while proceeds from the event went to the Capitol Area Food Bank.
The Got Vape Van journeyed from California a week in advance in order to stop by our stores in Arizona, New Mexico, and other parts of Texas before arriving in Austin. We pulled into the city on Friday to check out the venue and begin setting up our booth for the show.
The venue is located in the downtown district, allowing for a full view of the beautiful city. The initial set up of the booth only took a few hours. Our booth space was located in a key spot directly in the front of the main entrance.
We had our Got Vape Tent up, along with our Sails and Got Vape Banners, so everyone could see us representing when they walked in on Saturday.
By 7pm, we finished our set- up and decided to grab some dinner in the city before our big weekend.
At 10A.M., a number of fans were posted outside the Auditorium Shores, waiting for the show to start. We had our promo crew patrolling around the outside passing out our Got Vape Lanyards, Health Brochures, Tri-folds and stickers.
The gates opened up at 11am, a flood of people started to huddle into the Got Vape booth and inquire about our Vaporizers.
This was the first time that most of these patrons were able to see our entire line of Vaporizers in person. Our Vapor Experts did an excellent job of educating them about the unique features of each Vaporizer at the Got Vape Booth.
Our Got Vape Promo Girls walked around the venue with our Got Vape stamps, groups of people stopped them to get tagged with a stamp and grab some GV SWAG before entering the tent.
Throughout the day, the Got Vape booth was filled with people asking questions about finding the right Vaporizer to go home with. We were busy the entire time.
The first day of the show finished up at 10pm on Saturday, we had customers at the booth until the very end.
Sunday’s crowd was even bigger because they were hyped up on live performances by The Wailers and The Wailing Souls and perfect weather. Our promo team geared up for another busy day.
Thousands of people filled the event by mid-afternoon. We had a consistent flow of people at the booth checking out our Vaporizers.
As the day turned into evening, we set up lights inside the booth so that customers could still come inside and view our Vaporizers.
Bob Marley’s band, The Wailers took the stage around 8pm. Our film crew captured the entire performance, while our Sales Team was at the booth helping new customers.
They played an hour long set, full of classic songs like, “One Love” and “Natural Mystic.”
After The Wailer’s finished performing, we headed backstage to watch The Wailing Souls close down the festival. These Reggae Stars stopped by the booth in the afternoon to come and see our line of Vaporizers.
The Got Vape Booth stayed open until 11pm because there were people coming up to us even when the event was closing down!
This was the first time that we have ventured down south, but after the response that we received, the Austin Reggae Festival will be a Got Vape staple for years to come!
