Orange County, CA - Got Vape took part in the 22nd Annual Walk MS Charity event on April 25, 2009 at the University of California, Irvine Campus.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Pacific South Coast Chapter organized the walk, hosting 3,314 Walkers who raised more than $390k for the cause.
The Got Vape Promo Team arrived at 8:00 a.m. to register for the walk and start our promotion. The course was a two-mile route that started and finished near the main library and Chancellor's Rose Garden on the UCI campus.
Several, Non-profit tents were placed along the course, like the national MS Society, Orange County Rescue Mission, and Habitat for Humanity.
Food and beverage tents, like Soup Plantation and Sobe Water, were also there to keep all of the participant's energy levels up for the walk.
I noticed that the Walk MS had a large number of teams representing businesses, community groups, churches and family members and friends of people with MS. A number of Sororities and Fraternities took part in this year's MS walk.
Our College Awareness program has familiarized most of these students with Vaporization. The actual walk started at 9:30 a.m. near the Chancellor's Rose Garden. Thousands of people strolled through the campus, holding signs honoring friends and family members affected by MS.
Volunteers cheered encouraging words to all of the participants during the 2 mile course. Amber and Marlene, two of our Got Vape team members, finished off the walk by placing our Got Vape Team Shoeprint on the Wall of Honor.
This wall showcased the teams and individuals that took part in the event. After the walk was finished, our promo team chatted with the crowd about our Vaporizer Network, we came away with a handful of new college reps and tons of new friends!
The National MS Society conducts MS research and services and programs for people with MS. Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable and disabling disease of the central nervous system with no known cause, cure or prevention.
