San Diego, Ca - The Got Vape Crew rolled down to San Diego for the 24th Annual Street Scene Festival on Friday September 19th, 2008.
The Street Scene took place in downtown San Diego, with over 5 city blocks dedicated to live music, a wide variety of vendors, and food for thousands of fans in attendance. There were 4 different stages set up throughout the event.
Got Vape was invited backstage to educate the Music Artist performing, especially rising pop artists, Chester French on Friday September 19th, 2008.
The group comprised of D.A. Wallach and Maxwell Drummey, are signed to Pharell's label, Star Trak/Interscope Records, they're making an impact in the alternative music scene.
We arrived at the show at 3pm, about an hour before the gates opened, to start our promotions. The event opened up at 4pm so we headed to the media tent to grab our tickets from the Artist guest list.
Once we got into the show, we began passing out our Got Vape Promo material. The crowd was very receptive to our SWAG items like Got Vape Health brochures, lanyards, Myspace cards, and stickers.
"I'm really taken back by the amount of people that have already heard of Got Vape!" says Britni Willis, one of our sexy Got Vape Girls. "We also made a bunch of new Got Vape fans, but I would say more than half of the people I met promoting had heard of us before!"
Chester French performed on the Zarabanda Stage with other big name bands like Vampire Weekend, Cat Power, and MGMT.
D.A. and Max hooked Got Vape up with all access backstage passes, so we could meet all the other artists like Vampire Weekend, and Ben of MGMT . They were both eager to get involved with our Music Artist program.
After their performance, we set up a backstage interview with Chester French.
"Being able to play the music we love makes this all worth it!" says lead guitarist Maxwell Drummey. "When I heard that Got Vape was interested in hooking us up with a Vape, I felt like I just got an early birthday present!"
The band is staying focused and their fan base is growing daily. In October Chester French will be on a nation wide tour with Reggae Icon Matisyahu, Got Vape was invited to connect with Chester French again when the tour stops in Southern California.
