Got Vape VIP for Shwayze at 2009 US Open of Surfing

Huntington Beach, CA - The US Open of Surfing 2009 Finals took place at Huntington Beach from July 23-26th, 2009.
This annual event draws surfers from all around the world to compete for the largest purse ever, $100k worth of prize money.
Over 200,000 spectators attended this annual competition featuring world class surfing, skateboarding, a huge vendor village, and live performances.
The Got Vape Team promoted each day during the event, with the main highlight being backstage VIP to film rising Interscope Recording Artist, Shwayze, perform on the Hurley Stage in front of thousands of fans.
We showed up to the US Open in the morning to link up with the rest of our promo crew at the Got Vape Trailer. Our good friends reserved a spot right next to the beach so that we could coordinate our promotions.
The sexy Got Vape Girls were sporting our new Got Vape Tank-Tops and Lanyards as they gathered up the Got Vape Swag consisting of Vaporizer Tri-Folds, stickers, and Myspace Cards. All of our models were excited for a fun day in the sun!
Our team spent all day promoting our Vapor Movement by walking the beach, pier, and vendor village, spreading the message to all of the people in attendance.
We then headed over to the main stage to check out the Shwayze performance.
Once we got into the backstage area, Cisco and Shwayze were stoked to see that we made it for the show! They walked us right on stage to begin filming the concert.
While filming, we linked up with professional surfer Rob Machado; he wanted to learn about Vaporization.
I slipped him our new catalog and Vaporizer Health brochure to educate Rob and his surfer friends about the health benefits associated with Vaporizing.
Shwayze’s performance lasted for 45 minutes, after a few encores we made our way to the VIP tent to educate him on his new vaporizer, the iolite portable vaporizer.
We first interviewed Shwayze at the Van’s Warped Tour, and then conducted an official interview at his CD Release party at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood.
He still uses the Buddah Hands Free Vaporizer that we gave him on his tour bus! It was cool to see how Shwayze’s popularity has skyrocketed within the last year and how he always endorses Got Vape.
Shwayze couldn’t get over how discreet and user friendly his new iolite portable vaporizer was!

The US Open of Surfing 2009 went extremely well. Our promo team was able to build quality relationships with music artists, surfers, vendors, and the thousands of fans in attendance. We can’t wait until next year’s event!
