Ed Rosenthal Interview

Scam Artist: So, Mr. Ed Rosenthal how long have you been studying and writing about growing Marijuana?

Ed Rosenthal: You can call me Ed. Mr. Ed Rosenthal is too formal. This is a nice blunt by the way. Well I've been studying about plants since I was 11 and marijuana since I was 21.

Scam Artist: If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

Ed Rosenthal: Oh I don't mind. I'm 57 years old.

Scam Artist: I was curious are you for legalization of marijuana or decriminalization?

Ed Rosenthal: I'm for total legalization, but it won't happen till after the Bush presidency.

Scam Artist: Isn't it crazy we have a former cocaine user and drunk driver messing with our freedoms? What do you think about those allegations?

Ed Rosenthal: All I have to say is that his dad had connections to Noriega. I mean that's all I have to say about that. And there is documented evidence of his DUI.

Scam Artist: Ed "Ganja Guru" Rosenthal I'm here with my homies from Inspector Vapors what's your take on Vaporizers?

Ed Rosenthal: Like I said before Ed is fine. I think vaporizers are great. They are much healthier and you get a purer form of THC from them.

Scam Artist: Have you used an Inspector Vapors vaporizer?

Ed Rosenthal: No I haven't, but I like how you guys are really pushing the use of vaporizers. However, some of my colleagues have and they love it. I hope the vaporizer becomes something used more by herb smokers.

Scam Artist: So Ed you're not feeling guilty hitting this blunt?

Ed Rosenthal: I never feel guilty enjoying marijuana in any form.

Scam Artist: I read your work in the "Ask Ed" column in High Times magazine. How long did you think you'd work for them writing the column?

Ed Rosenthal: To be honest with you I thought "Ask Ed" by Ed Rosenthal would only get enough questions to do it for three or four issues.

Scam Artist: What do you think people think when the name Ed Rosenthal comes up?

Ed Rosenthal: I'm not sure what you mean?

Scam Artist: Those already aware of Ed Rosenthal's beliefs and activism.

Ed Rosenthal: Those with me know I appreciate how I get to live. Fighting for our rights as citizens to grow marijuana, and use it for medicinal purposes. Those against me probably see me as a thorn in their side.

Scam Artist: Well Ed I have to get back to the headquarters. I t was nice talking with you.

Ed Rosenthal: Nice meeting you. Uh what was your name again?

Scam Artist: The name is Scam.

Ed Rosenthal Talks

The first spot we were off to was Seattle's first ever Cannabis Cup. We showed up mad late because as you know with things like the Cannabis Cup you have to be invited and play it low key.

We didn't get to judge, but damn the heads in charge blessed us with a nice fat sack of the finest strains around. I rolled a fat ass True blunt and rolled out to a little after party at the the world famous Edgewater Hotel.

Then guess who just happens to be chilling to my left, the "Ganja Guru" himself Ed Rosenthal. We chatted and since Ed Rosenthal didn't know he was talking to the smooth ass Scam Artist it was sort of an unauthorized interview, but let's not worry about that.
