2015's Top 4 Portable Vaporizers
The flavor explodes in your mouth on the very first draw, producing a cloud of visible vapor on the lowest setting. As a self proclaimed vaporizer connoisseur, I enjoy this setting, this gives me the best range of what I'm personally looking for.
I would say most of you would prefer this unit on medium, this way you can blow straight CLOUDS of vapor. Theres going to be a reduction in flavor, as one would expect, although the tradeoff is well worth it.
The third and final setting cranks the temperature up and is designed for concentrate. Using the container included with the S Type, I tested just a bit, less then I would typically fill the Sutra Vape with.
What struck me as odd was how long it actually lasted, how did they do this? Simple, the application of heat at a lower temperature then one would get out of a concentrate pen.
For kayaking enthusiasts, Boofing isn't a new term, but for me it was brand new. To boof, is keeping the front or bow of your kayak from diving into the water, considered an artform in the outdoor action sports world.
Queue Go Boof, this Irish company is navigating the tumultuous waters of the vaporizer community and have mastered the art of Boofing! With their first entry into the field, the Alfa Vape is making waves.
With its stylish design, compact size and vapor production the Alfa provides a great addition to both the novice and expert users alike. On top of delicious vapor, my favorite feature was a heat setting that basically went from low to high, without you making any adjustments. Why is this so great?
You're able to fully utilize your choice of blend, conserving the best of the taste and even heat distribution. This achieved through the use of a center heating pin thats able to radiate heat extremely evenly and accurately.
Think, 20 minute vape session, going from the lowest possible heating range to the top, genius! While you can still use the typical low, medium and high, the A/T setting is the business.
The A/P setting is also pretty cool, this increases the temperature about 5 degrees fahrenheit with each puff you take until it reaches max temp.
Pronounced Low Key, an apt name for an extremely discreet looking vaporizer. From styling to form and function, the design of this vape grabbed immediately my attention. Fitting in the palm of my hand with a go go gadget mouthpiece, that slides in and out at the push of a button, winning!
As with many vaporizers on the market today, your material must be tamped down to get best performance out of the oven. This method produced the best results when using the Loki Vape.
The flavor is right on point with the low setting, not a huge amount of visible vapor, but tasty. Medium was the setting I preferred as it provides the requisite taste and density we're all looking for. High produced a ridiculous amount of vapor, with the sacrifice of taste. It's all preference though right?
Wulf Vape SX
The Wulf SX marks the third release in the past year for WULFmods, the vape company that doesn't discriminate between dry or liquid. I for one was happy to see that these guys are pushing out in both directions instead of just focusing on one or the other.
The friendly guys and gals at WULF seem to have built off both of the strengths of the previous units the Wulf Vape classic and digital.
Incorporating the preciseness of digital technology and a cylindrical oven thats able to radiate heat efficiently. Feeling this unit in the palm of your hand gives you warm fuzzy feeling inside, it's so damn sexy. Most vapes today benefit from you tamping down your material, this unit was no different.
I was able to produce a much denser vapor hit by packing the material tightly, almost into a pellet. I use this same method with Puffit family of vaporizers as well as the PAX, this tiny tip changes many vape enthusiasts experience from just okay to great. Currently available in the staple WULFmods colors, black, red and white, so fresh n so clean, clean.
