BUILT AROUND REPLACEABLE COILS

Yocan's range is wide and the price point is low, which makes it the brand a lot of people start on. The trade-off is that most of the concentrate devices run a screw-in coil that is expected to be replaced rather than cleaned forever.

That is why a Yocan page is half devices and half coils. Knowing which coil your device takes matters more than anything else about ownership here, because the same brand uses several incompatible coil formats across different models.

THE BATTERIES ARE THE OTHER HALF

The Kodo, Kodo Pro and Ziva are 510 batteries rather than concentrate devices. They power a cartridge and nothing else. The Kodo Pro and Ziva add adjustable voltage and a preheat mode; the original Kodo is deliberately simple.

USING ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Almost every Yocan follows the same pattern. Five clicks of the button turns the device on or off, and holding the button fires it. Where a device has voltage settings, three clicks usually cycles them. Charge it fully before the first use.

How often do Yocan coils need replacing?

Coils are consumables. Replace one when the vapor thins out, tastes burnt, or the coil is visibly darkened and will not clean up. Running a coil dry is what kills it fastest.

Are Yocan coils interchangeable between models?

No. Yocan uses several different coil formats across its range and they are not cross-compatible. Check your exact model before ordering, because a coil that threads in is not necessarily the correct one.
