The King of horror, Stephen King, used to smoke pot and drink beer while writing some of his horror classics, which would, in term, become classic horror movies. Some even debate that a few of Stephen King's stories make more sense if you're drunk or high.

After beheading both of his parents the night after Halloween, Anton Tobias realizes something sinister is going on. While this slacker life-style resulted in the affliction that possesses his idle hand, cannabis ends up saving the day and not to mention Jessica Alba’s sweet booty.

4. Reefer Madness (1936)

Originally created as a Propaganda film in the 30’s that was meant to scare kids from smoking marijuana, Reefer Madness, soon became a cult classic for a much different reason. The tale revolves around Mae and Jack, a couple of drug dealers that entice high school students into smoking and after just one hit, they’re lives spiral into a downward fall of melodramatic events.

Another cult classic perfect to watch after a dry herb session, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, focuses on a small town that is invaded by aliens from outer space that look like clowns and are capturing and killing the townspeople. This movie brings viewers a dizzying assortment of classic carnival tunes, as well as, shadow puppets, cotton candy guns, drinking people through crazy straws and much more.

One of the actual scary movies on this list also happens to be a documentary on the terrifying phenomenon known as sleep paralysis. What truly makes this a scary movie is that everything described by the film’s subjects happened in their in their own tortured minds.
